Our company (Loralee Lewis Inc.) is founded and operated by a woman and in two years have become very successful. How wonderful to learn that we are not in the minority, that startups headed by woman are much more likely to succeed! Thank you for this data, inspiring.

The well worn stereotypes: men as mighty hunters, women as child-centered nurturing machines. They are still very much alive and well in our culture. However, it’s also true that more men and women than ever are taking on non-traditional roles. For example, more men are staying home to raise children, and more women are starting their own small business. Silicon valley may not be changing much, but change really is all around us. As father to a young daughter, I find that comforting.
